Tirupathi - The abode of Sri Venkateshwara Swami with his consorts, Padmavathi and Alarmelmangamma is supposed to be  the Vaikuntam on earth.
Swami is famous for "Nityakalyanam and Pacha thoranam"- meaning everyday is celebrated as a wedding or as a festival .
People from all over India and the world flock to Tirupathi to have the lord's darshan.

Each day apart from regular darshans many 'sevas' are performed on behalf of pilgrims.
The annual Brahmothsavams are a visual and soulful treat to watch. This is a 10 day festival during which the lord comes out of his abode to meet the people in different alangaarams(dressing) and different vahanams
(chariots or palanquins).
